Objectives and Outcomes

Program Educational Objectives

P.E.O.1: To educate Software Engineers who pursue or complete graduate studies either domestically or internationally.

P.E.O.2: To educate Software Engineers who are capable of establishing their own businesses or making meaningful contributions to society within their professional fields.

P.E.O.3: To educate Software Engineers who can take on roles in national or international companies, research and development institutions, or public organizations in the field of software engineering.

 

Program Outcomes

P.O.1 – Fundamental Sciences: Demonstrates sufficient knowledge in mathematics, basic sciences, and software engineering, and possesses the ability to apply both theoretical and practical knowledge to model and solve complex software engineering problems.

P.O.2 – Software Engineering: Ability to identify, define, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems in software engineering and related fields by selecting and applying appropriate analysis and modeling techniques.

P.O.3 – Design: Ability to design complex systems, devices, or processes to meet specific objectives within realistic constraints and conditions by employing modern design methodologies.

P.O.4 – Tool Usage: Proficiency in developing, selecting, and effectively utilizing modern tools and techniques required for complex software engineering applications, and the ability to efficiently leverage information technologies.

P.O.5 – Testing and Analysis: Ability to design experiments, conduct experimental studies, collect and analyze data, and interpret results for investigating complex software engineering problems.

P.O.6 – Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both within disciplinary and multidisciplinary teams.

P.O.7 – Communication Skills: Proficient in verbal and written communication in Turkish, with the ability to utilize and further develop foreign language skills.

P.O.8 – Lifelong Learning: Awareness of the need for lifelong learning, with the skills to access information, follow advancements in science and technology, and engage in continuous self-improvement.

P.O.9 – Ethics: Awareness of professional and ethical responsibilities.

P.O.10 – Entrepreneurship and Project Management: Knowledge of professional practices in the workplace, including project management, risk management, and change management; awareness of entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable development.

P.O.11 – Environmental and Societal Impact: Awareness of the universal and societal impacts of engineering practices on health, safety, and the environment; familiarity with national and international legal regulations and standards; and an understanding of the legal implications of engineering solutions.
